Every month, Valacta analyzes around 40,000 samples for fat, protein, lactose, total solids and SCC for the purpose of milk payment for dairy producers. A committee made up of FPLQ (Milk Marketing Board) and the milk transformers govern the agreement between themselves and Valacta.

Valacta offers several kinds of analyses to evaluate the quality of raw milk:
• Total bacteria count (Bactoscan FC)
• Determination of the amount of extraneous water in milk using cryoscopy
• Antibiotic residue screening
