Producers certified "organic", despite their particular context, share several similarities with their "conventional" Quebec colleagues: herd size, calving interval, cull rate or the average age of their herd. Considering that the somatic cell count (SCC) of organic dairy producers also compares quite well with the average of Quebec dairy herds, we can safely conclude that udder health prevention proves its worth… for ALL dairy producers.
