Dairy Production Advisor

Job Overview

• Observe the animals and their environment
• Interpret the Vision2000 and Agri-Lacta reports
• Analyze the performance of the herd
• Make useful recommendations to clients to increase the productivity and the profitability of their dairy farm, and to help solve their problems
• Promote Valacta services to ensure the development of the clientele in the territory.

Your profile

• College Diploma in Livestock Production Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, or equivalent
  
• At least one year of experience in a similar job
• Bilinguism mandatory for some regions
• For a job in Quebec, very good knowledge of French, written and spoken
  
• For a job in the Atlantic Provinces, very good knowledge of English, written and spoken
  
• Have a car and a valid driving license
  
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  
• Aptitude for sales, problem solving, extension, and spoken and written communication
  
• Innovative, committed and quality-oriented
  
• Team spirit, willing to learn and client-oriented.
