This service is available to all Quebec dairy producers who want fat, protein and cell count analysis for their herd. The producer collects the samples, and by courrier, ships the vials to Valacta. The laboratory return the results within 48 hours from the time the samples are received at the lab.
This service must be correctly identified on all forms and on the sample box with a yellow sticker to assure rapid return of your results.
All producers must identify each sample with it's own unique bar-code. The bar-code must be affixed on the vial with the arrows pointing towards the "tab" on the cap. Your cooperation on this matter will help provide accurate results for each cow, while keeping fluid operations in our laboratory. As requested by our clients, all bar codes which are sent are in order as presented on Form 4, rather than by numercial order. The stickers should be relatively clean and dry upon arriving at our lab.
