The best way to prevent ketosis remains prevention. But above all, we must know where our herd stands in order to focus on the best prevention measures and to evaluate the success of our actions. Since October 2011, Valacta has offered the possibility of having the concentration of BHB, the main ketone body found in milk, analyzed by infrared analysis using milk recording samples (the Ketolab service). A high BHB level is a specific indication that a cow is at risk of ketosis. Let's see what the data from these analyses reveals.
